Eligibility Requirements

• Your host must be your child or grandchild.
• Your host must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or registered Indian.
• Your host must be at least 18 years old and live in Canada.
• Your host must meet or exceed the minimum necessary income.
• Your host must sign a letter inviting you to Canada, including a promise of financial support for the duration of your visit.
• You must be outside Canada when you submit your application.
• You must have your visa printed by a visa office outside Canada.
• You must be allowed to enter Canada.
• You must take an immigration medical exam.
• You must have proof of health insurance from an approved insurance company.
